Description

Task, Duties & Responsibilities
1) RESIDENT-DIRECTED CARE(as directed personally by each resident) includes but is not limited to:Eating, drinking, bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair and nail care
Bowel care (suppositories, micro enemas, digital stimulation)
Applying (and care of) condom catheters, indwelling and intermittent catheters, leg bags and night bags
Transferring, lifting and positioning  
Exercises (range of motion, stretching, walking, weights, etc.)
Assisting with medications

2) MEAL PLANNING AND PREPARATION
Planning with residents, a varied well balanced diet
Providing any special diet requirements for individual residents
Preparing meals, desserts (including baking), snacks and drinks as required
3) HOUSEKEEPING
Daily cleaning of general areas including: dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming of floors.  (Also bathrooms, sinks, etc.)
Regularly scheduled cleaning including windows, walls, cupboards, fridges, ovens, freezers, light fixtures, heat grills, cleaning dryer filter, etc.
Household and resident laundry including disinfecting, stain removal, minor repairs
Clearing light snowfall to buses for wheelchairs
Writing down in the maintenance logbook any repairs to equipment required

Requirement:
Certification or Diploma in Continue Care Aid or relevant work experience.
Experience working in organization that provide programs, support and card to persons with disabilities.
Basic Training Skill, TLR, WHIMIS,CPR/First Aide, Food Safe,
