WEEKEND CAREGiver Be matched with a few clients for regular visits on the weekend.
Do you have experience caring for seniors or your own aging family member? We will train you! We provide extensive ongoing training as well as 24/7 support to our CAREGivers
Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout Saskatoon. Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
DUTIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
Companionship and Conversation
Meal Preparation
Light Housekeeping
Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming
Incontinence Care
Transferring Assistance
Medication Reminders
Alzheimers or Dementia Care
Palliative Care
Errands, Shopping, Outings, Appointments
Activities (hobbies, games, crafts)
REQUIREMENTS TO BE A CAREGIVER:
Continuing Care Aide Certificate preferred
Legal status to work in Canada
Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Ability to speak and write English at an average to high adult level
Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
Complete a criminal background check, a vulnerable sector check, 3 professional and 3 personal references
Possess a valid drivers license is an asset, but not essential. Drivers abstract is required.
Vehicle with valid auto insurance is an asset but not essential.
SCHEDULING:
Weekend Caregivers provide availability of Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 10pm. Friday availability is also welcome!
