Description

The Town of Kindersley is seeking two (2) enthusiastic and hard working individuals to join our summer student team with the Department of Engineering, Planning & Development.  Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution this fall.

Kindersley is a progressive, innovative, socially & economically vibrant community in west central Saskatchewan.  Situated in the heart of a successful oil-producing & agricultural area, Kindersley is the hub centre for services, recreational & cultural opportunities in the region.

The Town of Kindersley municipal government office includes the Departments of Corporate Services; Community Services; Engineering, Planning & Development; & Transportation & Environment, & employs a hard-working team of passionate & community-minded employees striving to make Kindersley the best place to live.

Key responsibilities include:
- performing various surveying tasks, including data collection & entering survey field notes into the Town's Asset Management tools
- Producing detailed plans, maps, drawing & illustrations related to municipal infrastructure, civil works & projects
- Performing site visits for sidewalks, curbs & gutters, & various other technical support
- Experience with Auto CAD and GIS is an asset
- Other duties as assigned

Successful candidates will have the following skills:
- Background in Civil/Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Excellent written, interpersonal & organizational skills
- Be able to work in an independent environment and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
