Caltech Surveys has specialized in servicing the western Canadian energy industry since 1990.
Residing in our Regina office, the Senior Accounts Receivable Technician is responsible for the calculation, preparation & processing of invoices, following up on overdue accounts receivables and maintaining other financial records according to established procedures. Incumbents may be assigned specific tasks at times and will be required to provide back up to other finance roles.
Responsibilities
-Follow efficient working processes, making suggestions for improvement as applicable;
-Resolve work-related problems,prepare and submit progress & other reports;
-Draft invoices, including assigning invoice numbers
-Finalize, validate & mail out invoices
-Create, maintain & manage client invoice files;
-Maintain up-to-date billing systems & enter invoices
-Update job book entries,marking invoices paid;
-Follow up on overdue accounts
-Adjust invoices as required;
-Customer relations;
-Generate, finalize & send out invoices;
-Assist with month-end closing relative to AR process;
-On a monthly basis complete the water well, RFP and Progress invoices;
-Back-up for Accounts Receivable Supervisor & other finance/accounting department functions as required;
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 7-10 years experience in full-cycle accounts receivable
-Previous experience with a Land Survey company would be an asset
-Post-Secondary education in Accounting would be preferable
-Previous experience working with Simply Accounting is required
-Ability to contribute to a team environment while still keeping up independent work load is essential
-Excellent written, oral and organizational skills; with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
-First-rate time management skills, ability to stick to and work within tight deadlines
