An EXCELLENT OPPORUNITY FOR A UNIVERSITY STUDENT

Eagles Nest is a non-profit organization dedicated to working with youth in group home environments.  

To fill a term position, we are seeking a temporary full-time HR Administrator for our North Battleford group home. The term will begin asap and last until approximately Sept 2015.  The days and hours of work are Mon-Fri, 9:00-5:00

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with hiring by pre-screening, setting interviews, doing reference checks, completing orientation, and forwarding paperwork appropriately
Assist staff & head office with HR, accounting, payroll, legislation, policy, & procedure needs and inquiries
Serve as an intermediary between head office & North Battleford
Maintain on-site paper & electronic files
Assist in the proper completion of paperwork
Facilitate training by monitoring training needs, booking events and facilities, completing registrations, & gathering certifications, etc
Arrange for meetings, interviews, facilities, etc & taking registrations/RSVPs
Direct all faxes, mail, incoming calls, staff, and visitors
Maintain stock of office & cleaning supplies, agency packages, handbooks, manuals & pamphlets
Serve as a 'catch-all' for info & assistance in areas not necessarily better handled by others within the organization

COMPETENCIES:
Self-starter with exceptional resourcefulness and initiative since training will be minimal
Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail  

QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma/certificate in Human Resources and/or significant previous experience supporting a HR Department
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Internet, Email, & office equipment
Strong accurate keyboarding skills
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Familiarity with First Nations culture is an asset
Criminal Record Check is required
