The Computer Programmer requires strong analytical and problem solving skills in a creative environment, assisting in the implementation of new development ideas along with maintaining and enhancing the form, functionality, and user experience of our current applications and services.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or post-secondary accreditation in computer science, related technical field or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in the areas specified above or a related technical field.
Strong understanding of object oriented programming.
Strong understanding of control versioning systems (preferably GIT).
Strong ability to be focused working independently and as a team.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient in MySQL, PHP, JavaScript including jQuery & AJAX, HTML, CSS, MVC framework (preferably CakePHP) and C/C++.
Experienced in database design and administration would be an asset.
Experienced in cross platform and cross web browser agent support.
Familiar with Linux operating system and development environment.
Familiar with writing and maintaining programming documentation.
Comfortable working within a primarily open source environment.
