What will you be working on?
* Employ the EHS Management System to improve safe work practices and safety programming in response to changing workplace needs, corporate requirements, regulatory standards and investigations. Guides and, at times, leads investigations.
* Act as a resource for and consult with customer (operations) needs relating to safety requirements and advise management on safety issues. Influence and lead facility personal towards accomplishing EHS goals, strengthening safety culture, and compliance with regulations and corporate policy.
* Supervise the activities of the safety professionals to ensure training, development and auditing is in place and being conducted in an effective manner
* Remain informed on current OH&S regulations that pertain to our industry. Assist in the effective management of all safety programs.

What is required for this role?
* Post-secondary degree or diploma; or equivalent experience and training in operations, training and loss control management. CRSP certification preferred
* "hands on" operational and supervisory experience in an industrial setting, as well as at least 5 years safety management experience. Familiarity with Loss Control principles, experience with safety auditing and behavior based safety programming required.
* Strong computer skills with knowledge in Windows Office products
* Experience in leading people, fosters teamwork and communicates outcomes, expectations and common goals across the work unit. Strong organizational, time management and communication skills required.
