Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Home Visiting Supervisor:
1) Promote healthy development of children,
2) Connect families with resources in the Community,
3) Provide ongoing regular Community programming focused on families with children aged 0 - 5 years,
4) Promote healthy early childhood development,
5) Foster community relationships,
6) Provide administrative supervision of the Community Wellness Coordinator.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess good interpersonal skills
- Culturally sensitive
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to conduct oneself in a manner appropriate to the policies and procedures of KidsFirst NORTH
- Ability to build partnerships with collateral agencies within the assigned community
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of the strength-based approach
- Knowledge of child development and family dynamics
- Aware of challenges common to high risk families
- Demonstrated ability to relate to families undergoing high degrees of stress
- Able to handle high stress and emotionally demanding work environments
- Must possess a valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, obtain a $2,000,000.00 business liability insurance and have the ability to travel extensively
- Able to work flexible hours
