Description

REQUIREMENTS:

The Supervisor LPN must be a Certified Practical Nurse, registered with SALPN and must possess strong supervisory skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:
-  Reports to Finance HR Officer
-  Supervise staff and assist with day-tot-day operations of the PCH
-  Act as liaison for Medical appointments and follow-up of Residents
-  Screen New Admissions for all required medical information and level of care
-  Act as LPN for residents requiring more acute nursing care when needed
-  Submit month end reports to Director
-  Involved in written and verbal discipline actions of personnel
-  Ensure staff is trained in special care and organize training as needed
-  Assist and organize orientation of new staff as well as provide the special care training for all staff
-  Develop new forms, learning tools and organize educational in-services to ensure quality of care for the residents and for staff safety
-  Annual staff evaluations
-  Assist Nurse Practitioners visits: rounds, orders, reports and admissions
-  Assist families with the preparation of overnight outings
