Under the supervision of the General Manager of Keethanow Groups of Businesses will be committed to achieving Keethanow Lumber and Furniture service standards and maximizing sales and gross profit margins while providing our customers with the best shopping experience. This position is responsible for managing in providing effective day-to-day management and operational leadership through visibility, involvement and interaction with customers and employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Oversee yard associates, project estimates, lumber handlers, equipment operators, truck drivers, retail employees and maintaining contractor relationships;
-Recruiting, supervising, scheduling and training retail and lumber yard staff.
-Ensure paperwork is complete and correct prior to the delivery leaving the yard;
-Work closely with Keethanow Groups of Businesses General Manager;
-Monitor yard and furniture inventory and report to management product minimums for reorder;
-Receive incoming freight, accurately counting, documenting and stage appropriately;
-Ensure company vehicles and equipment are serviced and maintained;
-Efficient maintenance and safety of yard and warehouse;
-Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, planning and organizational skis are essential;
-Develop and maintain expert presentation of furniture store.
Requirements:
-University Degree or Technical Trades Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in Lumber Industry
-Must be Bondable;
-Exceptional customer service;
-Excellent supervisory, organizational and leadership skills;
-Ability to work flexible hours;
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
-Valid Driver's License and Driver's Abstract;
-Provide an updated Criminal Record Check.
