Due to a teacher moving to a Central Office position, La Loche Community School is looking for a grade 8/9/10 math/science teacher for two forms of Grade 9 science, one form of Grade 8 math and Grade 10 math & science.
La Loche Community School provides educational programming for K- 12 students in two separate buildings with a total enrolment of 889 students and teaching staff of 58 teachers plus 24 paraprofessionals. The above position is in the Dene Building (grades 7-12); a modern, well equipped facility with an enrolment of 418 students, 28 teachers plus 7 paraprofessionals.
This is a full-time, temporary teaching position (with a possibility of being extended to a full time contract in the 2015-16 school year) to start as soon as possible until June 30, 2015. The successful candidate must be eligible for Saskatchewan Professional A or Provisional Professional A teaching certification.
Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a northern living allowance. Moving assistance may be available.
