Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking one highly motivated individual for the position of First Nations Job Fund Coordinator.
* Increase awareness, knowledge and skills of First Nations Members within the YTC communities in the area of employment services
* Provide guidance, advice, and develop support systems for communities on employment assessments, case management and follow up, which includes providing assistance on making child care plans, assessing transportation options, changing relationships and lifestyles, punctuality and attendance, job seeking skills, financial budgeting and career development, treatment (which includes employment activities along with group therapy and counseling)
* Review Enhanced Service Delivery Client referral data and network with relevant ESD personnel when client circumstances exist preventing the development of a realistic 12-month employment action plan
* Work with clients to create a demand-based Employment Action Plan based on regional training plan activities when possible
* Coordinate training for communities including: Mentor/Career counseling, resume writing, job search techniques, assessments, life skills-essential skills, Case management, aftercare - retention and career advancement service, Career path
* Develop and explore partnerships and relationships with existing resources in the Labour Market. Provide linkages to existing services and resources outside of career centres
* Network with programs that deliver employment skills to enhance the services at the community level
* Case manage clients while participating in accepted Employment Actions with the provision of troubleshooting and coaching assistance
* Provide proposals and reports as required to meet program requirements and provide briefing notes and follow up reports
* Maintain and analyze data
* Must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience/training
