Do you love inspiring kids? Do you love science? Are you dependable and energetic? Do you live in the Rocanville, Esterhazy, Moosomin or Wapella area, and are looking for extra income?
We are looking for individuals to join our Mad Science team. Instructors will teach a one hour session, right after school, which could be more than once a week (depending on how many students enroll). Each week students from kindergarten to grade 5 explore a new and exciting hands-on science topic. Instructors are given 'kits' with all supplies and fun take homes for each student. Each kit is prepared with a lesson that the instructor is trained on.
Instructors are paid $22.75 / workshop +6.25% bonus for things such as arriving on time, bringing each kit back in a neat order (works out to almost 25$ / workshop). Pay increases by $1 for each session to a maximum of $28 (including bonus).
We are aiming to start-up before the end of this school year (mid- April) for an 8-week program, but we need instructors in order to move forward. And we will hopefully be able to reach out to more schools in the upcoming school year!
