Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, the Finance Officer performs the day-to-day finance duties as assigned by the Finance Supervisor & Administration Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Process all accounts payable (Operations, Maintenance, and Saskatchewan Government)
-Develop and maintain secure and logical filing system for all financial records
-Develop and maintain an on-going Accounts Payable filing system for each fiscal year
-Ensure that all accounts payables are reviewed before and after payment and is signed by the
Administration Manager before filing
-Ensure that all Agency vehicles are maintained and keep a daily log on all local and long distance trips for each vehicle and that any incidents are reported and filed.
-All foster parent payments are issued at mid-month and month-end and ensure that outstanding purchase orders are deducted from the foster care payment
-All travel claims are processed and deposited as required
-All home visit request are calculated according to INAC by Finance Supervisor and/or Administration Manager and processed on purchase orders
-Assist Receptionists when required
-Ensure that all invoices are accompanied with Purchase Order or authorized by the appropriate supervisor, all items have been received and coded correctly before preparing a cheque for payment
-Establish and maintain a purchase order system for purchases made by all personnel and clients
-Responsible for all hotel bookings for rooms and conference rooms
-All other duties as assigned by the Finance Supervisor & Administration Manager
Requirements:
-Minimum Certificate in Office Administration
-Minimum of 2 years experience in Finance and/or Administration
-Knowledge in Accounting
-Knowledge in Computer Operations: MS Office/Excel/Word, AccPac, DTB
