Description

Role and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Saskatoon Operations Manager on projects and manpower.
Responsible for controlling costs and maintaining profitability.
Examines drawings and specifications for various work tasks and ensures current information is communicated to foremen.
Schedules crews for the projects and all required equipment and materials necessary to complete the tasks.
Conducts regular inspections to ensure quality and that jobs are per specifications.
Assists foremen in maintaining safe workplace through support and training.
Tracks project schedules and cost reports.
Coordinates with engineers, client/owner, inspectors, etc.
Ensures training and development of foremen and employees.
Administers discipline as needed in a fair and consistent manner
Resolves/diffuses issues using open communication with employees and management.
Qualifications:
Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred
Minimum of five years experience in an expanding and demonstrable Project Management role, in the electrical construction industry
Experience in determining construction labor productivity factors, wage rates, indirect field costs and project adjustment factors.
Strong computer skills and excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Proven organizational and management skills, including the ability to prioritize
Estimating experience an asset (Accubid) is preferred
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in commercial operations
Demonstrated supervisory skills
Demonstrated customer relations skills
Experience in E&I installations
Excellent knowledge of all applicable codes.
Verbal skills, good verbal communication skills for speaking with personnel and clients.
Ability to communicate effectively to all relevant stakeholders
Ability to provide accurate analysis and assessment and strategies
Valid Drivers License
