Description

Responsibilities
    Direct the development and implementation of short and long-range mine planning to ensure safe and efficient operations in conjunction with budget objectives.
    Prepare annual capital and operating budgets.
Accountable for ensuring that the changes in environment and safety legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines are current at the mine site.
    Foster teamwork at the mine site through communication and effective performance management.
    Establish a positive working environment by conducting and participating in activities that contribute to an effective working relationship with all employees.
    Promote teamwork and employee development at all levels of the operation through communication, monitoring and revision of performance standards.

Qualifications:
    P. Eng. designation in Mining, Civil or Geological Engineering.
    10+ years of related experience.
    Possess an understanding of various mine planning software and engineering tools.
    Proven leadership and management skills.
    Able to communicate effectively with mine operations and customers.
    Be a highly motivated self-starter, possessing good interpersonal and organizational skills.
