Sofina Foods is currently seeking Journeyman Millwrights in Wynyard, Saskatchewan and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant, including pre-operational set ups, inspections and necessary repairs. This will involve the effective functioning of all hydraulic and pneumatic systems, specifically the installation, welding and fabrication of new equipment. You will also be responsible for general plant maintenance (gear box, pumps, conveyors, etc).
To qualify, you will have at least two years of experience in a mechanical/welding role or experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment. You are also required to have a provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate, or have a recognized inter-provincial equivalent. At least two years of refrigeration experience is required, as is experience with mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and machining.
Ideal candidates will be flexible enough to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. The ability to use power and manual tools is required, as is basic computer knowledge and maths skills.
