Description

Reporting to the Logistics Manager the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for customer service through coordination of transportation for internal inventory movements and order fulfilment.

PRIMARY PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES:
Proactively plan and schedule the most effective method of transportation for inbound and outbound shipments.
Prepare related documentation such as BOL, Invoices, Customs Documentations and other shipping requirements for all outbound shipments.
Apply for CFIA certificates or any other documents required to accompany all shipments.
Contact appropriate transportation or external warehouse representatives to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other shipping related problems.
Coordinate shipments of inbound purchased materials and inter-company inventory movements to meet requested delivery dates.
Complete all necessary Sales Order and Replenishment Order steps in the companys ERP system.
Proactively report and address any inventory discrepancies.
Assist in assessing daily workload for warehouse staff and assign priorities in consultation with Logistics Manager and Warehouse Coordinator.
Proactively report and address concerns related to safety.
Complete special projects and assignments as requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCES:
3-5 years experience in Logistics.
Experience working with customs brokers and preparing export/import documents an asset.
Previous training in WHMIS and TDG is an asset.
Expertise in working with an ERP system, proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access and general computer skills is an asset.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills with careful attention to details and ability to support others in cross-functional role.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills with an aptitude for problem solving and continuous improvement.
Previous experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment would be an asset
