Description

Parrheim Foods is an innovative starch, protein and fibre mill situated in the heart of the Canadian prairies in Saskatchewan. Parrheim Foods is a division of the Parrish & Heimbecker Milling Group, which has production facilities across Canada. A Maintenance Supervisor is required to oversee plant maintenance and health and safety in the Parrheim Foods facility in Saskatoon.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, reporting to the Production Manager, you coordinate all aspects of plant maintenance including millwright, electrical, and production welding and monitor and reinforce health and safety performance in accordance with policies and procedures. Safety is one of your top priorities and you ensure that safe working practices are implemented and visible in the workplace.

As a member of the team, you assist in the achievement of capital projects including research and costing of projects and sourcing and organizing contractors as needed. You are focused and adaptable and able to think quickly to solve problems and implement repairs and other necessary maintenance work with minimal disruption to support a 24/7 operation.

As a relationship builder, you build and maintain good working relationships and rapport with both plant employees and third party contractors and ensure that all maintenance work is completed in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. You are highly organized, and utilize a robust preventative maintenance program ensuring that all equipment is maintained.

As the ideal candidate, you have strong supervisory experience and a Journeyman Millwright certificate or equivalent. Good working knowledge of flour mill operations is considered an asset.
