China Garden Restaurant is currently seeking kitchen helper with following duties and job responsibilities:
- Wash, peel, cut/portion - vegetables/fruits/meat/poultry
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surface, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in ref./freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash
- Handle and store cleaning products
- Mop and sweep floor
- Perform other duties such as assisting the cook
- Take all food out to the buffet area
- Assist food and beverage server in in formal and service activities
- Assemble wrap food or place it directly on plates/plates/take-out food
- Load bus pan and trays
- Operate dishwasher to wash dishes/pots/pans and other cutlery
- Scraping and stocking dishes/clean ventilation and filters
This position is for full-time, however we also encourage part-time workers to apply if they are available.

Dishwashing Skills
- Scour pots and pans
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
- Operate pot-washing machines
- Clean and polish silverware
- Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars
- Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
- Portion and wrap foods
- Package take-out food
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
