Description

What will you be working on?
* Troubleshoot issues that arise on mine automation projects related to both power and communications. Reviewing, revising, and building PLC programs is a critical element of the position.
* Follow the Capital Project Management process on assigned capital projects to ensure proper practices are applied to the allocation and spending of capital on assigned automation projects. Develop specifications for project equipment and design information required to complete the detailed design phase.
* Act as a technical liaison between Mosaic and consulting companies.
* Provide technical insight from area of expertise in a team setting to help develop and progress the mine automation project portfolio. Analyze existing network systems and communication infrastructure and propose changes and projects which will facilitate the automation process.

What is required for this role?
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Major in Electrical, Electronic Systems.
* Registered with Apegs, P. Eng Preferred. Provincial Underground Supervision Certification would be an asset.
* Minimum 5-10 years experience in an underground mine environment, preferably potash mining.
* Knowledge of process networks, communication networks, and well developed PLC programming skills required.
* Experience with Rockwell automation systems preferred.
* Understanding of controls for hydraulic systems and robotics as well as instrumentation experience would be an asset.
* AutoCAD, MS Office, Maximo, Microsoft Project, Visio, SAP, working knowledge of PLC programming software.
