Description

Maintenance Technician's are responsible for providing the highest possible standard of maintenance, repair, safety and security to all properties managed by the Saskatoon Housing Authority. This position will participate in a rotational on-call schedule including an afternoon shift and responds to after regular business hours calls and taking responsive action.  This position works closely with Site Managers, Support Technicians and contractors to ensure tenant needs are met within Saskatoon Housing Authority guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:
-General maintenance service and repair which includes minor plumbing, heating, electrical and carpentry
- Vacancy preparation
- Annual and Move-in inspections and orientations
- Coordinates completion of work with contractors when required
- Assist Building Managers as required with maintenance items
- Offer one-day, same day service on all tenant work orders.

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 or equivalent
-1-3 years experience in general maintenance and technical training. Experience and/or a combination of education and experience may be considered provided all necessary certification can be achieved
-Knowledge and ability to repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical
-Fireman's Certificate or willingness/ability to obtain certification
-Ability to work outside of normal working hours
-Valid driver's license and use of roadworthy vehicle
