Description

The mission of the Saskatoon Society for the Protection of Children Inc. (SSPC) is to provide services to children and families that allow for the safety of children and healthy development of families. The SSPC operates the Parent Aide Program and Saskatoon Crisis Nursery. The Executive Director reports to the SSPC Board of Directors and provides leadership and day to day management of the organization.  

Key Responsibilities
Lead the organization as per the strategic direction set by the Board
Administer daily operations including accounting, payroll, statistics, marketing, social media, benefits programs, etc
Financially manage the organization to meet the budget approved by the Board
Support and collaborate with Program Directors to provide direction to the program operations
Ensure the organization meets all government legislation and legal requirements
Participate in organizing annual fundraising events and complete grant applications
Manage contracts with funding agencies including the Ministry of Social Services

Qualifications
Knowledge of all federal (CRA) and provincial legislation for businesses and registered charities, Accounting software, and Microsoft Office programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Adept and comfortable with technology (ie computer systems and computer programs)
Knowledge of the Saskatoon community relating to families and children in crisis or in need
Strong ethical character that guides decision making and overall leadership approach
Exceptional ability to organize and plan with a detailed focused on completing tasks
Skilled with financial management
Strong decision maker and problem solver
Self motivated and comfortable working independently or on a team
Provide a clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
