The Department of Educational Psychology & Special Education, University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level commencing July 1, 2015 with a focus on teacher education specifically in the area of Psychometrics, Classroom Assessment, and Measurement.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in educational psychology, psychometrics, and measurement, as well as courses on more focused topics related to educational psychology and assessment development, use, and/or policy. Candidates must have a completed or near completed PhD in measurement, evaluation, educational statistics or related field and experience teaching in K-12 settings. We seek candidates with high-level quantitative methods training, the pedagogical skills to clearly communicate sophisticated methods to diverse audiences, and the ability to apply their explanations to substantive examples in education.
The ideal candidate will have a research agenda that relates measurement and assessment issues to issues of teaching, learning, and/or education policy.
Salary bands for this post are as follows: Assistant Professor - $86,844 $104,357; Associate Professor - $104,357 - $121,871 and Professor - $121,871 - $142,303.
