The Food Service Supervisors are responsible for the daily supervision of the dietary aids, cooks, baker and receiver, to ensure the accomplishment of Department goals.
The Food Service Supervisors are responsible the maintenance of safe work practices and work environment. They oversee all aspects of day to day needs of food production and ensure all food items are prepared and stored under sanitary conditions. The Food Service Supervisor are knowledgeable in National Food Handling & Sanitation Standards and ensure sanitary standards are maintained through out the kitchen at the Regional Health Centre and Herb Bassett Home.
Qualifications: Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized two (2) year Food and Nutrition Management Course.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the diversity of responsibilities, this position requires knowledge and skills in clinical nutrition, human resource and fiscal management, quality assurance and quality control, effective communication skills, and computer literacy.
