Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking a Director of Health and Social Development with direct responsibilities to oversee the management, administration and delivery of all YTC Health and Social Development programs and services to ensure that the needs of the YTC First Nations members are met in a reasonable and efficient manner.
* Provide overall planning, implementation, direction, and evaluation of all programs and policies in the Yorkton Tribal Council Health and Social Development plan
* Prepare reports for the funding agencies of current operational programs
* Supervise staff, oversee the development of roles and identify training needs for  staff of all Health and development projects
* Provide leadership to the First Nations in implementing the YTC Health and Social Development plan
* Researching and developing proposals for health and social development programs
* Supervising the development of budgets and budget controls and providing financial accountability for all Health and Social Development programs
* Developing and/or proposing training of Health, mental wellness and healing to empower individuals, families and communities
* Investigate variances in budgets, reporting, internal controls, budgeting and other financial matters
* Prepare reports and briefings of all relevant operational and development issues arising from the Health and Social Development
* Provide leadership, direction and supervision to all Health & Social Development programs and staff
* Assisting and participating in identifying training needs fro staff of all Health and Social Development projects
* Building partnerships with other organizations to improve services for urban and on-reserve First Nation members
* Be familiar with strategic planning and implementation
