This position is responsible for maximizing travel agencies performance through effective leadership, to create a superior performing Branch Management team. This role will involve developing strategic/tactical plans in order to achieve financial and customer service performance objectives. Responsible for the staff and ensuring appropriate hiring standards, training and performance reviews are completed. We are also looking for someone to will lead and collaborate with the branch managers and leads to identify areas of opportunity for additional sales and revenue generation and ensure that each branch has a clear strategic plan. Work with the managers and leads to ensure best in class customer service is provided in all customer interactions. Maintain knowledge of key market drivers and trends to ensure Sears Travel stays ahead of the what is up and coming in the industry.
You will be responsible for all branches in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Due to the scope of responsibility for this position a minimum of 5 to 10 years of on the job experience and/or performing similar duties and/or related is required.
Specialized Knowledge, skills and attributes required:
An understanding of Travel Agency accounting/administration procedures
Demonstrated strong leadership skills
Organizational skills, ability to plan ahead and manage the stress of multiple deadlines and frequent change
Strong selling background and results driven
A basic understanding of marketing and the unique markets of the prairie provinces
Presentation, training and coaching skills
This position will have a variable schedule including some evenings and weekends with possible overtime required during peak seasons.
