Description

Quickthree Solutions Inc.  invents and manufactures unique industrial equipment for the oil and gas industry and is offering qualified individuals an opportunity to join our growing team.  We are seeking to hire a Buyer to join our team.  

Responsibilities:
Review, develop or update supply chain practices
Assume operational responsibility for all buying activities, daily through strategic
Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists
Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, and/or freight forwarders
Monitor supplier ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
Monitor manufacturing forecasts to identify changes
Develop, implement new or improved supply chain processes
Collaborate with other departments within the organization
Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers
Design or implement plant warehousing strategies
Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize manufacturing processes
Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing and receiving
Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products in inventory

Qualifications
A bachelors degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or economics, or
a Supply Chain Management Professional (S.C.M.P.) designation or registration in the educational program of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada
Several years of experience as a purchasing agent
Experience and knowledge applicable to steel manufacturing industry and the Saskatoon Business community.
Successful candidate must provide a completed Criminal Record Check prior to commencing employment
