Description

Westburne Electric, a division of Rexel Canada Electrical Inc., is a leader in electrical product distribution, participating in the commercial, residential, industrial and institutional markets across Canada.

The Warehouse Manager may lead one or more of the following sub-processes such as order entry, preparing and validating customer orders; selecting; packing; shipping goods and billing customers.  The Warehouse Manager may also be responsible for other relevant processes, such as handling product returns as well as receiving, verification and stock replenishment.  He/she is accountable for meeting the Companys customer service standards.

Responsibilities:
Administer workflow and preparing work schedules of team members to meet customer service demands.    
Train employees on proper processes and sub-processes as determined by the Branch Operations Manager.  These will include proper equipment usage, material handling and maintenance.
Ensure areas of responsibility are well maintained, productive and in compliance with the companys policies and procedures.
Review variance reports for specific area of responsibility and offer solutions to ensure level of productivity is received and resolve current and anticipated concerns.
Make recommendations for purchase of new warehouse equipment and machinery as needed.
Discuss disciplinary action of the team members with the Branch Operations Manager.
Ensure that all health and safety measures are followed.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 education or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a comparable role within a Distribution Centre.
Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to operate a Raymond Reach, Forklift and\or Cherry Picker would be an asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a Distribution Centre.
Forklift experience or certificate would be an asset
