DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain Department administration by developing, organizing and coordinating administrative procedures, policies, operations, and resources and providing administrative assistance to staff.
- Provide excellent customer service while answering phone calls, taking messages, greeting the public, handling customer complaints and inquiries.
- Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing financial reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
- Co-ordinate the assignment and monitor the duties of the Cemetery and Marketing Assistant.
- Providing on the job training and orientation of new employees to Department policies.
- Prepare meeting packages and attend meetings as required to take minutes.
- Maintain Yorkton Cemetery administration receiving inquiries and preparing contracts, work orders and invoices for plot purchases, interment bookings, monument installations, genealogical requests and Cemetery plot reclamations and communicate same to Parks Branch when and where necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Administrative Diploma with 7 years of experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access. Familiarity with Vadim software systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of accounting, administrative and data management procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures and practices.
- Good problem solving analysis and decision making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Possess and maintain RCMP security clearance.
