Byron & Michelle Clarke, located at Land Description: NW-25-038-36-W3, Denzil, Saskatchewan, S0L 0S0, is seeking General Farm Workers to start as soon as possible.
Terms: Permanent, Full Time. Days, Evenings and Weekends. 40.00 - 50.00 Hours per week. Overtime after 40 hours/week.
Location: Land Locations: NW-25-038-36-W3 / N1/2-25-38-26 / SE-36-38-26 / NW-36-38-26 / SE-22-38-26, Denzil, Saskatchewan
Work Location Information: Staff accommodation available, Rural area
Job Duties:
- Receive and process new cattle (tag, vaccinate, implant, etc.), assessing animal health and providing treatment where necessary;
- Maintain accurate cattle records;
- Check pens for herd health, notifying owners of anything wrong with cattle or equipment;
- Move cattle, sort to ship and load for shipping;
- Assist with calving program, provide care to orphaned calves when needed;
- Assist with feed mill maintenance and keep accurate records of grain roll weights and maintain quality control of feed grains;
- Operate feed truck and deliver feed to pens;
- Ensure water systems are operational and repair when needed;
- Maintenance of pens including scraping/hauling manure, bedding cattle, general maintenance of fences, corrals, gates and holding systems;
- General maintenance of yard equipment and machinery;
- Help with plant, cultivating, harvesting of crops and fertilize & spray crops;
- Operate farm machinery, including: Haying equipment, Tractor, Farm Truck, Tillage Equipment, Loader
