Description

We are currently seeking a versatile individual to fill a full-time, permanent position of Maintenance Office Coordinator.  This  position reports directly to the Maintenance Services Manager and coordinates services between the tenants, Housing Authority staff and external contractors, to ensure tenants' needs are met within SHA policies and guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Effectively assessing and completing required clerical duties outlined by the Maintenance Services Manager
*Ensuring that all calls for services are handled effectively:  receiving, assessing, coordinating or dispatching of Maintenance Services staff and/or external contractors
*Tracking and recording all completed and outstanding work orders and providing a monthly report to the Maintenance Services Manager
*Effectively and respectfully communicating with tenants, contractors, SHA Managers and others in the organization
*Maintaining Maintenance Services files and records in a current and accurate manner
*Preparing tender packages,monthly and quarterly reports for the Maintenance Services Manager
*Providing support for the Maintenance Office Coordinator(Field Services) during periods of absence, or as assigned
*Other clerical duties, as assigned by the Maintenance Services Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Grade 12 or equivalent
*Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
*Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access software programs
*Excellent organizational and time management skills
*Working knowledge and/or experience dealing with the "Residential Tenancies Act"
*Possession of a valid driver's license
*Ownership of a roadworthy vehicle and additional vehicle liability insurance for a minimum of $1,000,000
