Working under the general direction of the Storekeeper, the Accounting Clerk/Stockperson is responsible for performing various storekeeping duties related to inventory and purchasing, including the stock maintenance and distribution of materials and supplies for use by all City departments and maintaining appropriate accounting records. If you have the following qualifications, this opportunity will be of interest to you!
- Diploma of Applied Arts and Sciences in Accounting (Sask Polytechnic) or equivalent
- Purchasing Management Association of Canada Technical Course for Introduction to Procurement and Introduction to Operations Management
- Minimum of two (2) years accounting experience
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Fork-lift ticket.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data entry, word processing and computer software packages (i.e. databases and spreadsheets)
- Ability to understand and operate an electronic accounting system and software for a large organization in relation to purchasing and inventory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move 100 lbs minimum with a trolley.
