The Automation Supervisor is responsible for maintaining automation and drive systems for the Regina Tubular Division. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert, responsible for the day-to-day management of industrial performance while meeting objectives that conform to the existing plan and budgetary expectations. The Automation Supervisor reports to the General Supervisor Maintenance Regina Tubular Division.
Responsibilities
Assist in project management of large system upgrades and replacement
Coordinate and implement system changes with operations while keeping safety and downtime concerns mitigated
Plant-wide troubleshooting focusing on automation and drive control systems
Act as the primary point of contact for Operations with regard to automation problems and issues
Approve changes to the automation/protection systems for the plant
Work collaboratively with all departments to determine system changes or upgrades to increase reliability and/or optimization
Job Requirements
5+ years of operations experience in automation systems, drives and AC/DC motors
Experience managing in a unionized work environment
Very strong communication and facilitation skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate and lead diverse personalities across functions
Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
Qualified electrical worker
