Description

Working under the direction of the Census Coordinator, the Census Enumerator will complete door to door interviews to collect a variety of specific information pertaining to the population of Lloydminster.

The Census Enumerator is hired on a contract basis to assist with the conduct of the 2015 municipal census in the City of Lloydminster.  The term of the contract shall be April 1, 2015 to May 22, 2015 or until completion of census data collection, whichever is sooner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Enumerator shall assist with the conduct of a municipal census as of April 1, 2015.  The duties and responsibilities shall be those outlined below.
- Enumerators must be capable of collecting accurate and complete data on the electronic devices supplied
- Complete door to door interviews to collect a variety of specific information pertaining to the population in Lloydminster
- Complete door to door delivery of Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) for each residence in the City within a prescribed time frame
- Collect data within a prescribed time frame with completion date no later than May 22, 2015
- Maintain confidentiality of all information collected
- Work a variety of hours to collect data while residents are home and complete call backs a minimum of 3 times per residence if unavailable

Qualifications:
- Able to use an electronic device for data collection
- Have good command of the English language
- Possess good communication skills so that the importance of census data can be explained to City residents
- Good physical condition to walk long distances to residences in prescribed enumeration zones
- Work in a variety of weather conditions
- Able to read and follow a map
