Description

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Canada, Ltd. (MHPSC) is a major supplier of custom welding, machining, assembly, and field services to the energy industry in Canada and around the world. We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for the regions of Saskatchewan, Manitoba and targeted areas of the USA to join our highly skilled team at our manufacturing plant in Saskatoon.

A commitment to working within a team, focusing on the customer and willingness to travel is a must.

Responsibilities:
Promote a safe working environment
Assess marketing opportunities and target markets
Generate leads for possible sales
Follow-up sales activity and represent MHPSC in negotiations of specific product lines, sectors, or solutions
Expand MHPSC's portfolio of solutions reach and profit revenues by identifying new markets and attracting new potential customers
Develop strategic plans and sales strategies with the Sales & Marketing team
Undertake presentations to and negotiations with prospective customers as well as develop long-term relationship to consolidate partnerships and strategic alliances
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Be prepared for travel as duties require.
Proven background in manufacturing, specifically machining
Sales and business development experience
Strong negotiator
Be aware of and responsive to industrial trends
Entrepreneurial business mind set and strong self-organization habits
Ability to read and understand bid/proposal specifications, both from a technical and commercial perspective, as related to contractual terms and conditions
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, CRM and ERP systems
Strong team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
