Description

Brandt Engineered Products is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team.

Project coordinators are ambitious junior team members of the project management office.  Their primary responsibilities are to manage the quality, cost, and delivery on small projects and to assist senior project managers on larger projects.  They are responsible for more than just monitoring the process, they are the central hub of a project.  Project Coordinators and Project Managers become the starting point for all activity on projects.  In order to manage quality, cost and delivery, project managers formally requisition packages of work (with a defined scope, budget and delivery) from the internal departments or 3rd party suppliers.

Project management is a customer facing department which allows Brandt to manage beyond our engineering department and our plant to deliver an increased scope on our projects, allowing for better revenue and margin growth.

Project Coordinators will work on project scopes that range from small industrial construction projects, new product development (R&D), engineering consulting and capital repair services.  Projects are primarily for customers in industrial, agricultural and transportation industries.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage scope creep.
- Manage project schedule.
- Manage project quality.
- Manage project safety.
- Communicate any problems with team members or project results to the department managers.
- Assist the estimating department in lessons learned on projects.
- Have a positive attitude towards work and provide leadership to create a good working environment for others.
- Be a problem solver. Help to develop the solutions we need.
- Ensure project requirements are properly communicated to and understood by the project team.
- Conduct cross functional meetings at appropriate intervals to ensure team members are aligned.
