Description

The following temporary summer employment opportunities are intended to introduce voluntary self-identified Aboriginal students and recent graduates to job categories across PotashCorp, and are offered in addition to other summer employment and term opportunities.

The company has career opportunities for qualified applicants at the following Saskatchewan divisions:
Saskatoon Corporate Office
Cory
Allan
Lanigan
Rocanville

Reporting to a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist, the incumbents will work closely with other engineering personnel and be actively involved in a wide range of engineering functions.  Depending on the location, the persons in these positions will work in either underground (mine) or surface (mill) operations, or in Technical Services Saskatoon Corporate Office.  These individuals will provide miscellaneous engineering support as needed, along with providing aid to mine or mill production and maintenance planning.

The successful candidates must be engineering undergraduates or recent graduates from an accredited post-secondary university.  The following disciplines will be considered; Mining/Geological, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical.  Civil and Environmental may be considered.  Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills are required.  A competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and prior knowledge or exposure to an industrial workplace setting would be an asset.

These temporary roles are full-time positions anticipated between May 2015 and August 2015.

Preference will be given to those applicants who chose to voluntarily self-identify as Aboriginal.
