CanWel Building Materials is a leading Canadian wholesale distributor of building materials and home renovation products.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for customer orders, loading orders onto customer trucks, receiving inventory from suppliers, and receiving and restocking customer returns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loads and unloads building material supplies safely and promptly to and from delivery trucks.
- Accurately, efficiently and safely picks and assembles customer orders.
- Processes receiving tallies and packing slips promptly.
- Receives and restocks inventory returns.
- Maintains clean and organized outside yard.
- Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
- Adheres to customer service commitments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Forklift Certification desirable
- Forklift knowledge/experience required.
- Willing to further train in-house.
- Must have own steel-toed boots.
- Min. one year warehouse experience; familiar with order picking processes
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 20 kilos occasionally
- Bending, lifting and reaching during course of shift

Able to tolerate outdoor working conditions
Compensation and Benefits:

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Minimal overtime can be expected.
Note: Hours may change due to operational requirements.
