We are currently recruiting for Gas Meter Technicians. The position will begin March 2015, and will continue for approximately eight to 10 months.

The ideal candidate will:

*Understand basic principles of gas meter operations.
*Ability to understand the procedure to change gas meters.
*Able to enter data in a handheld device.
*Effective time management skills.
*Able to conform with installation policies and procedures.
*Knowledge and use of personal protective equipment
*Able to communicate effectively with others.
*Meet deadlines in the time that is given, with little supervision.
*Ability to follow all safe work practices including daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
*Contain excellent customer interaction skills.
*Be willing to work various shifts, including weekends (outside environment including a variety of weather conditions).
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and other requirements

*Must be willing to travel outside Saskatoon, and out of town over night for 4 to 5 days per week.
*High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
*Must possess a valid drivers license, 2 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.
* Mechanical skills preferred.
*Experience with handheld / technology devices is an asset.
*Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, walk up to 4 miles per day and get in and out of a car/truck at least 100 times per day.
