We are seeking applications for an experienced HSE Administrator. This is a diverse position with a growing and changing company. This position will coordinate all aspects of the company safety program including:
Policy writing and adherence
Maintaining safety equipment and PPE
Maintenance of company records
Proactive preventative maintenance
Accident incident investigation
Chair monthly safety meetings
Manage all aspects of COR certification
Coordinate employee training programs
WCB
Some administrative work such as filing, document control, maintain records and providing back-up for other office positions including reception and finance
Flexibility and teamwork will set the ideal candidate apart, as well as:
Post-secondary education, CRSP, CSO, HSA or equivalent
An in depth knowledge of provincial and federal legislation
A minimum of two years office experience
A minimum of two years field experience as a Safety Officer
Working knowledge of business procedures, letter and report formats
Working knowledge of computer systems, word processing and spreadsheet applications
Previous experience and knowledge of the construction and oilfield industry is preferred
Ability to assume responsibility and to communicate effectively with others
Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company in a professional manner to the Owner, staff and the community
Excellent time management
Ability to work independently and as a team player
