Description

Position Overview:  
The successful candidate will join SAMAs Melfort Region in this full-time, summer term Assessment Assistant position.  Reporting to the Regional Manager, the incumbents primary duties will consist of assisting senior assessors in collecting physical data used in the valuation of residential and commercial properties.  The successful candidate can expect to be working in the field 80% of the time with the remaining 20% in an office environment.  The term is expected to run from May 4, 2015, to August 28, 2015.

Responsibilities:
    Provide support and assistance to regional assessors in conducting field inspections including:
o    The collection and organization of physical data and;
o    Other duties related to assessment as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Good public relations skills
    Communication skills
    Interpersonal skills

Required Professional Designations/Certification:
    Enrolment in a recognized post-secondary education and will be continuing their education in the Fall of 2015.
    Preference will be given to candidates that are pursuing an education in the Assessment and/or Appraisal fields.
    A valid class 5 drivers license and a clean driver's abstract is required.
