Reports to the QA Manager and certifies the quality level of new/existing applications from a functional and regression testing perspective.
Responsibilities:
Assess/decompose requirements
Develop clear and easy to follow test cases for the purpose of measuring software quality and compliance to business requirements and application design
Document testing issues for quick and efficient remediation of the issue; validate issues are remediated and update tickets with proper status.
Create/manage test data
Execute functional tests and regression test suite
Support user acceptance testing
Perform in a professional courteous manner; provide excellent customer service
Uphold testing best practices as defined by QA Leadership
Requirements:
Understanding of quality principles/practices, structured testing methodology, testing types and strategies
Hands-on experience with Test Management/Issue Tracking Tools (e.g., HP Quality Center/ALM, etc.)
Proven ability to write and execute detailed test scripts
Ability to interface effectively with project managers, project teams, business owners, business users
Good oral/written communications skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with the project team, other application teams and clients
Possess a high-energy level, strong sense of urgency, self-motivated, work extremely well under pressure
Organization, time management skills, attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft personal productivity tools (Excel, Word)
Desirable:
Experience writing/executing SQL scripts for the purpose of creating/manipulating test data
Knowledge of auto remarketing industry
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
2-3 years experience in a software QA testing role
Industry recognized certification in testing practices or SDLC a plus
