QCK Gymnastics has been providing recreational and competitive gymnastics programming in Regina, Saskatchewan, for over 30 years.The competitive program has athletes in the Womens and Mens Artistic Gymnastics disciplines who compete at all levels, ranging from pre-competitive through to national. The QCK Gymnastics Club of Regina will be moving to a new facility in 2017, making this a timely opportunity for an enterprising individual to lead the club as its moves forward in advancing its athletics programs and in becoming a centre of excellence for the sport of gymnastics.
Reporting to the QCK Gymnastics Club of Regina Executive Director, the Head Coachs primary responsibilities will be to provide leadership for the QCK Gymnastics Clubs competitive and recreational gymnastics programs and to implement those parts of the QCK Gymnastics Club 2015-2018 Strategic Plan that relate specifically to athletics. Additional primary responsibilities of the Head Coach are to:
work collaboratively with the QCK Executive Director in providing QCK Gymnastics with a strong leadership team
provide direction and mentorship to competitive/recreational coaching staff
recruit new competitive/recreational coaching staff
develop policies and programs for athlete advancement
support coaches in their professional development
assess athlete and coach performance
develop training schedules
communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and families
provide a monthly report to the Board of Directors of QCK Gymnastics
The preferred candidate will possess a NCCP Level 3 Artistic Gymnastics certification or higher, at least five years of experience, a detailed knowledge of WAG/MAG apparatus, a track record of success in coaching, superior communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work well with others.
