Administrative Assistant Casual Office Support
Battlefords Industrial Career Centre
This position is responsible for providing reception, clerical and administrative support for the Battlefords Industrial Career Centre. These include the following accountabilities:
Greets and interacts with clients and visitors in a timely, professional and pleasant manner as well as determine nature of visitors' business and provide appropriate information
Answers the phone, transfers calls to the appropriate staff member, takes messages as required, coupled with updating and maintaining reception procedure and guideline manuals
Receiving, sorting, and sending mail, courier packages, and faxes
Assists employees with administrative support as required and maintenance and tracking of staff attendance
Knowledgeable on office equipment to provide effective support and troubleshooting assistance in addition to being responsible for contacting repair and customer support services for all equipment
Management the front office which includes being responsible for opening and closing the office, coordinating meeting and boardroom requests and purchasing and maintaining supplies as needed
Required Qualifications and Experience: Successful completion of an Administrative program, combined with relevant experience. Must be prompt, reliable, and exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior experience working with Microsoft office suite of programs is required. Knowledge of a First Nations language or culture an asset. Must hold a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
