Camp Monahan is searching for an enthusiastic candidate to organize, plan and run an effective Arts and Crafts program for children aged 6 to 13. Prior to the camping season, the arts and crafts instructor is in charge of creating and submitting a program plan (incorporating weekly themes), as well as ordering any required materials within the provided budget. The program will be organized to provide an experience for children to learn skills and develop imagination and creativity while making different crafts. During the summer, this position is responsible for planning and leading up to five programs per day with children of various age groups. The Arts and Crafts Director will also work with camp counselors to manage and deal with any camp behaviors during the program and is expected to participate in all other camp activities including campfire, meals, group activities and staff meetings. Experience working with and/or teaching children is required as well as knowledge and creativity related to arts and crafts. A First Aid certificate and a love of children, nature and camp life are considered assets
