Data Architect/Senior Database Administrator

Description:
As the Data Architect/Senior Database Administrator you are responsible for defining the data architecture vision, data roadmaps, and data management strategies that maximize the organization's ability to deliver high-quality Business solutions quickly and at a minimum cost. You will engage in business technology delivery projects in order to ensure alignment to the data strategy, its fit into the enterprise data environment, and to ensure data integrity and consistency is maintained. You will manage all activities related to the administration of databases including the design, installation and monitoring of the database architecture.  

Qualifications:
Qualifications for this role include a University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited University or a 2 year diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited post-secondary education institution.

Minimum of 10 years experience as a systems professional in a medium to large systems environment with demonstrated experience in progressively responsible roles including:
    A minimum of seven years experience in data architecture, data modelling, data warehousing, data administration and project management,
    A minimum of two years experience in managing and leading individual and team performance.

Equivalent combination of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge, skill and competence, may be considered. Designations, certifications and/or experience with IBM, Oracle, Db2 database and modelling tools CASE tools, ERWIN, Cognos, Informatica, Tableau or other BI tools Oracle 11gr2, Data Security and Management tools will be considered an asset.
