Summary of Duties:
The position of Facility Operator Supervisor is responsible for performing and supervising the day-to-day activities of the Sport & Recreation Department. You are responsible to inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards. Assist Sports & Rec Operations Manager in planning and preparing employee work schedules. Monitor refrigeration, boiler and heating equipment and report any issues to POM Department and Sport & Rec Operations Manager. Investigate complaints about service and equipment, report findings to Sports & Rec Operations Manager and assist in taking corrective action. Inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate heavy equipment, (forklift, Zamboni, front end loader, etc.)
Proven knowledge and experience of WHIMIS Program.
Knowledge of labour code, work standards and occupational health and safety regulations.
Education and Experience:
Grade twelve (12) education combined with formal training and/or work experience in a related field.
Demonstrated supervisory experience.
Must have valid driver's license.
Must have steel-toed boots.
Candidate must also possess and maintain a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC)
