Duties:
- Supervise, monitor and mentor Youth Play Leaders and their programs in various rural Saskatchewan.
- Assist with the planning of Summer Play Programs in communities
- Work with community volunteer coordinators
- Coordinate training opportunities for the Youth Play Leaders
- Coordinate play equipment made available to Summer Play Program communities
- Complete all evaluations and reports as required
- Coordinate other programs as required
- Other duties as assigned
Skills / Requirements
- Proficient skills in written and oral communication
- Supervision experience
- Creative thinking
- Knowledge of recreation, sport and cultural activities
- Program planning and implementation experience
- Experience working independently
- Preferred candidate will be a certified SPRA Play Leader
- Preferred candidate will have Standard First Aid and CPR C
- Candidate must be available to attend the Play Leader Workshop training course; schedule for May/June 2015, final date TBA
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle on a daily basis and be willing to use vehicle for work duties; mileage reimbursement will be paid for all work-related travel.
Student Requirements:
- Between the ages of 15 and 30 years at the start of employment
