Provide operational technical & software support
to client's automatic fare collection system.
Requirements:
- Experienced Support Engineer with a strong
hands-on attitude to manage the company's office
located in Saskatoon, SK.
- Post-Secondary degree in a technical field, or
equivalent combination of experience and
education.
- Project Management experience.
- Office administration experience.
- Deep working knowledge of SQL.
- Working knowledge of electronics.
- At least 3 years of related experience in the
deployment and operation of contactless smart card
based Automatic Fare Collection.
- At least 3 years of related experience in the
support and troubleshoot of Automatic Fare
Collection systems.
- Must be a strong leader, with a sense of lead by
example.
- This position requires of some travel through
Canada, primarily through Saskatchewan, and
occasionally to the USA and Mexico.
- Able to work at odd hours and during weekends,
mainly midnights.
- This position reports directly to the
Engineering and Operations Manager
- Fluent in Spanish an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the field office, both
administrative as well as technical.
- Serve as the liaison between the client and the
company.
- Serve as liaison to interpreter and communicate
the customer requirements to our engineers and
manufacturing facilities in Mexico, where all of
the communications will occur in Spanish.
- Oversee the expansion of the clients' systems.
- Provide operational, technical and software
support to the client's Automatic Fare Collection
system.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with the
electronic, mechanics, and software of the systems
and use of the fare collection equipment and
software.
- Compile usable and accurate documentation.
- Accurately prepare and maintain appropriate
service records.
